
Scholarship
​The North Andover Garden Club Memorial Scholarship Award is open to all graduating high school seniors who reside in North Andover or is the child or grandchild of a North Andover Garden Club member.
The Scholarship is available for students who will be majoring in: environmental topics including marine and wildlife; climate sciences; agriculture; botany; landscape design; forestry; fire sciences; horticulture; or a closely related field.
By offering this scholarship, the Garden Club reinforces its mission to encourage interest and participation in environmental fields and conservation. The awarded scholarship will be paid directly to the institution in which the student is enrolled.
The scholarship money comes from fund raising activities the North Andover Garden Club engages in throughout the year, mainly the Annual Plant Sale, which is held in June.
The scholarship is given in memory of Club member Richard J. Kulpinski (1938-2017) for his vast horticultural knowledge, his many contributions to the North Andover Garden Club, his educational achievements, as well as his kindness, generosity, energy and remarkable talent for mentorship.

Hannah Shea graduated from North Andover High School and will be attending University of Vermont to study Environmental Science.

Sydney Goldberg graduated from North Andover High School and will be attending the University of New England to study Marine Biology.

Oliver Peterson graduated from North Andover High School and will be attending Oregon State University in the Honors Program for Environmental Engineering.

Emma Swiniarski graduated from Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical High School and is attending Mass Maritime Academy to study Marine Science & Environmental Protection.
2023 Scholarship Recipients

Erica Dauphin attended Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School where she concentrated in arboriculture which is the care and study of woody plants. She intends to study environmental engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the fall.

Grace Kasabula attended North Andover High School where she
was active in the Environmental Club, She also volunteered at the North Andover Community Giving Garden . She intends to study sustainable agriculture and food systems at the University of California, Davis in the fall.
